Keratitis :
This is an inflammation of the cornea that sometimes occurs with infection
after bacteria or fungi enter the cornea. Bacteria or fungi can enter the eye after deep
injury, causing infection, inflammation, and ulceration of the cornea. Keratitis
symptoms include severe pain, Reduced visual clarity, Corneal discharge.
Keratoconus :
Keratoconus is a progressive disease in which the cornea thins and changes shape.
Keratoconus changes the curvature of the cornea, creating either mild or severe
distortion, called astigmatism, and usually nearsightedness. Keratoconus may
also cause swelling and scarring of the cornea and partial to complete
blindness.
Keratoconus can be genetic, can occur due to eye trauma, eye
disease such as keratoconjunctivitis. At first, this can be treated with glasses
or soft contact lenses. A corneal transplant may be necessary in certain cases.
Corneal Crosslinking is a newer treatment that uses a special type of stabilize

Pterygia usually occur on the side of the eye closer to the nose, but they

eyes. Many people with mild Pterygia may not experience symptoms. But pterygia often
cause a gritty, itchy or burning sensation or the feeling something is "in" the eye.
Also, these pterygia often become inflamed, causing red eyes.
